Ann Garvey


Ann Garvey
Executive Dance Director

Teacher, choreographer, performer and adjudicator, began her professional dancing and teaching career over thirty years ago. She believes dancing is one of the greatest social tools you can use in life by increasing self-confidence while at the same time having fun. Ann is a fully accredited teacher, successful professional competitor, and a loving mother of four. Competing both regionally and nationally, Ann is consistently voted as one of the top teachers. In addition, Celebrity Dance Studios is regarded as one of the top studios in the region. Ann’s students benefit from her unique teaching style and creative choreography. Under her guidance, her competitive students place extremely well. Ann also enjoys giving back to the community through dance. She has taught children ballroom dance at many Chicago public and private schools. She performs at various dance exhibitions and numerous charity events. As well as, partnering with community organizations in an effort to make a difference. She inspires others to dance and give with their hearts.


Kimberly Blanc


Kimberly Blanc
Dance Instructor

Kimberly started ballet dancing at the age of 3, and continued learning all types of dance from there. However, she had a special place in her heart for Ballroom and Latin dancing. She started competing in her teens placing and ranking quite high nationally. She then became a professional at the age of 18 and has been teaching for over 8 years as a certified dance instructor under the DVIDA syllabus. Currently, she competes professionally in both American Smooth and American Styles. Kimberly enjoys reading and English is her favorite subject.


Jennifer Rickert


Jennifer Rickert
Dance Instructor

Jennifer has been dancing since the age of 5, with her background being in tap, jazz and ballet. In the summer of 2006, Jennifer received her formal training in Ballroom Dance at CDS. She teaches both group and private lessons. She also teaches general music, choir and drama at Lakeview Jr. High School in Downers Grove and the Freshman Select Chorus at Downers Grove South High School . Jennifer received a bachelor’s degree in music education from Illinois State University and a Master’s degree in music education from Northern Illinois University.


Michael Blanc


Michael Blanc
Dance Instructor

Michael has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois. Kinesiology is the study of the anatomy, physiology and mechanics of the body. Michael has applied his degree through dance and has been certified professional at CDS for 5 years under the DVIDA syllabus. Recently he won a 4th place top teacher award, in a field of over 300 instructors at the Wisconsin Sate Dance Competition (WSDC) on of the largest competitions held in the Midwest. He currently competes in both American Smooth and American Rhythem styles. Physics is Michales favorite subject.


Brian Garvey

Brian has been dancing since the age of 12, and competes in both Ballroom and Latin dancing, and competed as a teenager in International Championships. He has been a certified professional instructor under the DVIDA syllabus At CDS for over 6 years. He recently placed 3rd in a top teacher competition at The Windy
City Open dance competition.


Taylor Lovstad


Taylor Lovstad

Taylor started dancing at the age of 5, taking hip hop classes and some ballet. she started show choir in middle school and became an outstanding member of her Highschool Show Choir. Taylor has been a resident of Warrenville all her life and has a short drive to the studio! She is an excellent dance instructor and her humor and wit make her a wonderful person to be around! Tracy Kokonas – Receptionist


Tracy Kokonas – Receptionist

Tracy Kokonas has always loved to be with and help people all the time. She earned her Associate’s Degree of Applied Science at College of DuPage and then moved on to graduate at Westwood College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communications. She stared working at Celebrity Dance Studio in the summer of 2012 and enjoys working here! You can most likely always find her at the front desk, and don’t be afraid to say hello! She loves talking to others and is always ready to help!


Sarah Vargas


Sarah Vargas

Sarah has been dancing since she was 5 years old, and has been involved in many different styles including ballet, jazz, hip-hop and ballroom. She excelled in her ballroom and was asked to perform at the state capitol when she was in 8th grade. Sarah also has a broad musical background. Her favorite subject has always been music and she played in her school’s wind ensemble and jazz band. She has an associate degree in Arts with a heavy influence on music and dance. Sarah is excited to have the opportunity to instruct students and have them feel the benefits of dance.
